We invite students to individual training in modern piano tuning and regulation.
This course is designed for those who want to learn the profession of a piano tuner, understand the principles of action regulation, and master a method already used by professional pianists and technicians.

 “The Axe” method

A unique tuning technique that provides:
• high precision, a more stable and cleaner tuning
• fewer broken strings
• the ability to work professionally even with complex instruments

 “The Clock” method

A tactile-based regulation approach that does not use templates.
You will learn to feel the mechanics and understand how to achieve perfect response and ideal keyboard reaction.

 Practical Training

All lessons are conducted on real instruments, acoustic and hybrid; including the Acouhyb system.

• tuning grand pianos equipped with the Acouhyb system

Action Regulation

• keyboard and action
• pedal mechanisms

Voicing

• standard and author’s voicing techniques
• shaping the tone of the hammers
• diagnosing sound problems

Repair and Maintenance

• string replacement and work with the cast-iron frame
• soundboard repair and diagnostics
• basic and intermediate repair techniques

Working With Different Brands and Models

You will learn how to adapt the method to any instrument, which is one of the main advantages of the program.
